Nizhegorodskaya Yarmarka (Nizhny Novgorod Fair) is a phenomenon, which is usually called national property. In Russia there are not too many enterprises whose history counts almost four hundred years. The history of the famous Nizhny Novgorod – Makaryevskaya Fair takes its sources in the XV century.
Nowadays the ARJSC "Nizhegorodskaya Yarmarka" represents a modern exhibition complex having everything necessary to carry out exhibitions, congresses and conferences. The territory of the Fair represents a customs area, there are situated a customs post and temporary customs storage warehouses. Yarmarka has the most up-to-date types of demonstrational and communication equipment. It posses six new exhibition halls, five conference-halls and the majestic Coat of Arms Hall, which has acquired guests of the highest level. Yarmarochny Bank, hotel, restaurants, cafe, casino and trade Passage are always at services of our guests.
The principle sphere of activities of the All Russia JSC "Nizhegorodskaya Yarmarka" is the exhibition business. Having a developed infrastructure, Nizhegorodskaya Yarmarka carries out about 60 exhibitions annually. Every year the Fair receives thousands companies and about one million visitors. Yarmarka regularly organizes on its territory national exhibitions of foreign countries and successfully realizes big outgoing exhibition projects in Europe. Since 1996 the ARJSC "Nizhegorodskaya Yarmarka" has become a structure having an appreciable social and political importance. Every year in Nizhny Novgorod at the Fair Grounds to the All-Russian Forums arrive high-ranking state, political and public figures, the biggest industrialists and businessmen. At the congresses, making an integral part of the forums, are elaborated documents having big importance for the economic and political self-appraisal of Russia.
The former power and glory of the Nizhny Novgorod Fair revive and strengthen. Yarmarka finds its former status, and its name sounds with pride in Russia as well as abroad.
